Home Improvement Agency Caseworker Assistant

We are looking for a volunteer to join our Home Improvements team to provide administrative support. Successful volunteers will be encouraged to work as part of the team, and undertake the following duties:

»Providing administrative support to the HIA Caseworker

»Scanning and archiving key documents into computer drives for electronic use

»Liaising with SBHG clients

»Liaising with staff across the Assets Team

»Assisting with team with meeting objectives

The volunteering role is great chance to develop valuable administration skills and gain experience working as part of a team within the housing sector. Volunteering days are flexible; the role requires a commitment of 1-2 days per week for a minimum of three months.

Sheltered Scheme Care Assistant

We are looking for a care volunteer to join Elizabeth Barnes Court, our sheltered scheme in Fulham. Volunteers will be encouraged to work as part of the team, and undertake the following duties:

» To provide practical and emotional support to the residents, helping them stay independent

» To help with organising social activities and host Wednesday afternoon tea

» To help supervise Communal Area and other Communal areas to maintain a safe environment

» Learn Health and Safety Risk identification

» In certain circumstances help residents with running errands (picking up medicine, light shopping)

The volunteering role is great chance to develop valuable administration skills and gain experience working as part of a team within the housing sector. The time commitment for this role is: minimum of six hours per week, between Monday and Friday - 10am - 5pm.

Debt & Welfare Benefits Advice Assistant

We are looking for a volunteer to join our Debt & Welfare Benefits Advice team to provide administrative support. Successful volunteers will be encouraged to work as part of the team, and undertake the following duties:

» Scanning and archiving key documents into computer drives for electronic use.
» Liaising with SBHG clients.
» Liaising with staff across Housing Services.
» Assisting the team with meeting objectives

The volunteering role is great chance to develop valuable administration skills and gain experience working as part of a team within the housing sector. Volunteering days are flexible; the role requires a commitment of 1-2 days per week for a minimum of three months.

Shop Retail Assistant

Furnish requires friendly volunteers to join the team in their re-use shop located in Fulham. Successful volunteers will be encouraged to work as part of the team, and undertake the following duties:

» Assisting shop floor staff.
» Crafting eye-ctaching displays to appeal to potential customers. 
» Providing customers with a good level of customer service.
» Operating the till and dealing with various types of payment.
» Organising stock.

The volunteering role is great chance to develop valuable administration skills and gain experience working as part of a team. The time commitment for this role is flexible, you will work Saturdays and/or Sundays for 4-8 hours.

Community Investment Assistant

We are looking for a volunteer to join our community investment team to provide administrative support. Successful volunteers will be encouraged to work as part of the team, and undertake the following duties:

» Liaise with the community investment team to meet team objectives. 
» Attending events with the team. 
» Use social media to promote programmes. 
» Assist with the Honey Day programme.
» Work as part of a team.
» Support with the arranging of social events for project clients.
» Admin support.

The volunteering role is great chance to develop valuable administration skills and gain experience working as part of a team within the housing sector. The time commitment for this role is: minimum of six hours per week, between Monday and Friday - 10am - 4pm.

Honey Day Gardener

We are looking for a volunteer to join our community investment team to provide support during our Honey Day programme. Successful volunteers will be encouraged to work as part of the team, and undertake the following duties:

» Clearing overgrown areas. 
» Garden maintenance – including weeding, hedge cutting, raking, dead heading, tidying and path maintenance. 
» To sweep paths and remove leaves whenever required. 
» Be able to maintain the ‘day to day’ garden maintenance work.

The volunteering role is great chance to develop valuable administration skills and gain experience working as part of a team within the housing sector. The time commitment for this role is only one day per week or one day per month.
