Planned maintenance

Every year many of our homes are included in our cyclical redecoration programme. Around 100 homes are placed into the reinvestment or planned repairs programme each year.

A survey at the beginning of the year determines whether a home requires reinvestment or planned maintenance. To be eligible, you must allow access to the surveyors, and have your rent account up-to-date. By March, we'll have let you know if reinvestment or planned repairs are to be carried out in your home in the coming year.

Examples of planned work include:

» New or upgraded central heating system
» Kitchen replacement
» Bathroom replacement
» Electrical rewiring 
» Thermal insulation and sound proofing

Due to the extent of this work, you may be asked to move into another property during the work.  

Where possible, we will give you opportunity to choose the design of your new kitchen or bathroom, and make choices such as colours. The contractors for the work will visit you beforehand to plan the work with you.
