Social Heart, Business Head, Local Impact

Finalist in Hounslow Business Awards

SBHG is a finalist in the Hounslow Business Awards as the best charity or social enterprise.

This award looks for projects or initiatives that deliver significant and tangible benefits to the local community.

CEO Matt Campion said: “As a housing association based in the borough, we’re delighted to be a finalist in awards that look at what makes Hounslow such a vibrant, economically strong area.

“Our ethos is ‘Social heart, Business head, Local impact'. Our work builds and strengthens the Hounslow community, supports the local economy and makes a positive difference by responding to what’s needed locally.

“Many of the residents living in our homes, whether rental or shared ownership, work for the businesses that make Hounslow so vibrant.

“Our services support the borough’s most vulnerable and we always looking for impactful ways to do this. Last year, with the support of City Bridge Trust, we based our debt and welfare advice service in two foodbanks in Hounslow.

“Our Best Chance team helps people, whether our own residents or the wider Hounslow community, into jobs, employment and career progression.

“We’ve been part of the west London community for almost 50 years and are a proud partner in building the strong inclusive communities that are such a rich part of Hounslow’s character.”

Now in their fifth year, the awards, organised by Hounslow Chamber of Commerce in association with Hounslow Highways, aim to recognise and reward the achievements of the local business community across the whole of the London Borough of Hounslow.

Stephen Fry, Chief Executive of Hounslow Chamber of Commerce, said: “I continue to be very impressed with the quality, enthusiasm and passion of the businesses that enter these awards. These awards demonstrate that Hounslow is an exciting place to work and recognition from these awards can make a difference when securing new customers and new business.”

Speaking on behalf of title sponsors Hounslow Highways, service director Rob Gillespie said: “Hounslow Highways is very pleased to be the headline sponsor for the Hounslow Business Awards for the third consecutive year. Hounslow has a diverse and entrepreneurial business base and we are delighted to support their success.”
