New COVID restrictions take effect from Monday 13th December. For the most part, our services will remain unaffected, our customer and repairs teams will be working as usual. However, due to the amended restrictions more of us are having to work from home. This means that customers who would like to meet with us in person in the office must book an appointment in advance.

Dig you know, we now offer tenants a digital tenancy?

The pandemic has meant that we have had to change the way we work. The safety of our residents and staff has been our biggest priority.

As our offices closed, our Lettings team created a digital tenancy agreement and sign-up process for our residents. This involves sending prospective tenants a digital sign-up pack which they can sign instantly, from their smartphone or computer instead of visiting our office to sign contracts in person.

We’ve now completed 21 digital sign ups’ since launching the new process in May. Two of these have been tenancy renewals and 19 are new lettings. Not only is this more convenient and safer for our residents and staff, the new process is cost effective as well as secure, compliant and eco-friendly. This enables us to invest the money we save in building affordable homes and communities.

Taher Mohammed, our PSA & Agency Finance Officer who led the project said: “We’re delighted with the progress we’ve made so far. We are able to keep our residents safe whilst staying on track to achieve our Corporate Strategy goal of 80% digital transactions.”
