Our 50th birthday celebrations continued at the weekend with an anniversary party for residents.
Held on Townmead Estate, more than 100 people from the local community came along to help us celebrate, enjoying the warm weather, activities and a great community buzz.
To help make the celebration extra special, we had a variety of different activities for children and adults, such as arts and crafts, basketball, tennis, face painting, a DJ school and much more. There was also food and drinks on offer for everyone to enjoy.
Neighbourhood manager Peter Lowe said: “We have been part of the west London community for 50 years and Fulham was one of the first areas where we had homes. These celebrations allowed us to get to know our tenants better, as well as a chance to give any advice or discuss any issues they may have. Our residents are at the heart of everything we do and it is important we are visible in our communities, building relationships and offering support and guidance when needed.
“We invited all residents who live in Fulham with an open invitation to others.”
As part of our 2018-2023 corporate strategy we aim to improve resident satisfaction to 90% by 2023. Events such as the Townmead Estate party help us make important social connections and establish consistent relationships with our residents, so that we can reach our target. It is also what makes us stand out as a PlaceShaper.
As part of our 50th celebrations, we sought out Young Local heroes which we announced in early July. Read more about the winner.
