Love Local Heroes

Our Love Local Heroes celebrate the vital contribution local people and organisations make to our community. We invited nominations and here are the winners from the awards evening. Each story show the ways local people are changing lives and making a positive impact.

The Mayor of Hammersmith & Fulham, Cllr Mercy Umeh, presented the awards and said:"It is wonderful to celebrate our local unsung heroes and hear all their inspiring stories. I thank SBHG for this opportunity to recognise what others are doing in our local community.”

Colin's wife, Margaret, nominated him and said:"Our friend, Patsy, is now living a full life because my Local Hero, Colin, saw how he could make a difference to someone's life - and he did it!"
