Into Housing helps those living in overcrowded, social housing in Ealing and Hammersmith & Fulham. You're eligible if you're over 18, interested in developing your skills and currently living in an overcrowded home, where you are not the tenancy holder.

Louise's IntoHousing story
Louise was 20 years old when she heard about the IntoHousing project. She was living in an overcrowded home with her mother, sister and brother, while working a part-time job with a low salary.
During an initial meeting with her Into Housing caseworker, it became clear that for Louise to achieve independence in a career she wanted, she needed support to develop a career plan with achievable goals, to gain job security and an increase in income. Then, with her increased resources, she could consider the independent housing options available to her.
Louise’s caseworker supported her extensively through weekly coaching and employment sessions. These involved tailored job searches, support with job applications, CV guidance, interview skills, and supporting statements when required.
Over the next 15 months, with the support from her Into Housing caseworker, Louise negotiated an increase in her hours of employment. After establishing that career progression wasn’t possible in her current role, Louise quickly secured a full-time Finance Assistant post at a local sixth form, earning a salary of £19,552. She has now been offered a two-year assured shorthold tenancy and is enjoying working, earning and living independently.
The connection with IntoHousing and Best Chance’s employment programme has also benefitted Louise’s mother, who has secured an apprenticeship and is studying towards a NVQ Level 2 in customer services.
