Chief Executive Officer
Matt has been chief executive since June 2017. Before his appointment, he was a director at Viridian Housing (now Optivo) and is a board member of Newlon HT. He has worked in the housing sector for 20 years, across housing associations of different sizes, as a BME supported housing provider and in local authorities. He has managed housing services across all tenure and ownership types, care and support services, customer service centres, community investment and social impact services, commercial operations and Private Finance Initiative (PFI) projects. Matt has a track record of success in improving customer service, performance, efficiency and organisational change. Matt holds a degree in psychology and a master’s degree in housing. Prior to his career in housing, he has worked in mental health services, health promotion, and lecturing in psychology. Matt is a board member of PlaceShapers.
Deputy Chief Executive
Andrew joined SBHG as Director for Innovation in January 2019 before becoming SBHG's Chief Strategy Officer. He has worked extensively in the logistics sector and more recently as Director of Business Improvement at the National Pharmacy Association. Andrew has a track record of delivering innovation and change programmes with a focus on business processes, systems and digitisation. He is responsible for the management and implementation of our Future 50 programme.
Chief Customer Officer
Mark joined us in January 2021 as our Chief Customer Officer, a new role focused on improving the customer experience for all our residents. Mark has over 16 years of experience in utility and service sectors and has held a portfolio of senior roles across customer experience, corporate strategy and digital transformation. He has a track record of delivering service improvement and increased levels of customer satisfaction. Mark is responsible for our Resident Experience, Housing Management, Repairs and Leasehold services.
Chief Financial Officer
Emma joined us in January 2022, having previously been Assistant Financial Director - Financial Services at Paradigm Housing Group. Emma leads the finance function and is responsible for financial management, controls, all financial transactions and stakeholder engagement with our Lenders. Emma has considerable experience in delivering robust financial management in a career spanning over 30 years working in multiple sectors, including social housing, financial services and development.
Chief Development Officer
Adil joined SBHG in January 2020 as Director of Development and Sales. Adil has previously worked in both the private and public housing sector during a career spanning over two decades. He joins us from Henley Homes where he spent 13 years as Land and Development Director. Prior to that, Adil spent 10 years in the Social Housing sector working for L&Q, Gallions (now part of Peabody Trust), Paragon Asra, Ujima and Presentation (now part of Notting Hill Genesis). He leads the team helping us develop 1,200 new homes over the next 10 years.
