Supported accommodation services for young people
Westside Support Services offers accommodation services to young people aged between 16 and 21 years.
The service is provided in the London boroughs of:
- Hounslow
- Hammersmith and Fulham
- Ealing.
The service provides semi-independent accommodation with support. We help young people understand what they need to do to sustain a tenancy.
Young people are encouraged to develop essential skills to maintain a home, budgeting and money management advice.
We encourage day-time activities through training, employment, education or volunteering in preparation to move into longer term accommodation. After young people have moved out, we provide a resettlement service to support their move.
Support is delivered through regular individual sessions with a dedicated support worker. Young people have an agreed support programme to help them achieve personal goals and aspirations.
We help young people move on to:
- Shared accommodation
- Private lettings
- Local authority accommodation
- Registered social landlords
- Other housing providers.
Young people can be referred to Westside through:
- The Leaving Care Team
- Homeless Person Unit.
