Accommodation for rough sleepers

Westside Support Services offer supported accommodation for people (aged over 18 years) who have a former history of rough sleeping. We provide housing management services to a small number of self–contained units mainly within the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham.

Properties are let on a fixed-term assured shorthold tenancy for up to two years.  We work in partnership with the tenant sustainment team for west London and Clearing House (see below) to help tenants successfully maintain a tenancy.

Support is provided by the tenant sustainment team approved support provider for west London. It provides support and guidance through a robust assessment and support planning process. Support to tenants includes accessing employment and training, access to primary and secondary health care and developing life skills. Support also helps people with budgeting and money management.  The service helps tenants to secure alternative accommodation at the end of the fixed-term tenancy.

People can be referred through:
Clearing House - managed by Broadway.
Clearing House provides and co-ordinates the lettings service for rough sleeper designated accommodation provided by housing associations under the Government’s Rough Sleepers Initiative. All empty units are listed on their website: www.clearinghouseonline.org.uk

We help former rough sleepers move on to:

  • Shared accommodation
  • Private lettings
  • Local authority accommodation
  • Registered social landlords
  • Other housing providers.
