Action plan takes shape
Consultation today closed on Shepherds Bush Housing Group’s draft action plan drawn up in response to its recent Audit Commission inspection.
The Audit Commission carried out a routine inspection of some services provided by SBHG in September 2009. It released its findings in December.
SBHG then drew up an action plan to address the Audit Commission recommendations.
More than 200 residents commented on the action plan. Paul Doe, chief executive of SBHG, said: “I’m pleased that we received our best inspection results for areas of service which affect most residents – responsive repairs, access and customer care and equality and diversity.
“However we’re always looking for ways to improve our service. While many of our residents thought our action plan addressed the recommendations, they also gave us some very useful comments which we are now incorporating.”
To gather comments on the action plan and other areas of service, staff visited many residents during SBHG’s third Big Conversation.
SBHG also used a motor home as a mobile consultation unit to tour its developments so residents could give their comments.
The revised action plan will be sent to the Audit Commission who will then use this to supply SBHG with its final report. SBHG will send this to residents.
