Moving out reward scheme
If you leave your home in a good condition, this saves us time and money. General needs and temporary accommodation tenants can apply for an end of tenancy bonus of up to £250 if they comply with the following:
- Give at least four weeks written notice of their moving date
- Have a clear rent account
- Pay for all outstanding rechargeable repairs
- Leave the property in good condition. This means clean, tidy and with all furniture and goods removed
- Allow SBHA staff to show potential new tenants around the property during the notice period before they move out. Any viewings will be at a convenient time and by prior arrangement
- Allow an SBHA surveyor to check the property within the first week of the notice period
- Allow minor re-let remedial works to be carried out, whilst they are still occupying the property.
This means we spend less time and money making the property ready for the next tenant. This in turn offers greater value for money for our residents.
Westside Support Services offers a similar end of tenancy bonus, as part of WISE. Tenants receive £100 if minimal works are required at the end of their tenancy.
