InComE project
 What’s in it for you?
The InComE project (Independence Accommodation Employment) can help you if you’re a non-dependant adult who lives in an overcrowded home and you are not the tenancy holder. It is open to those living in one of our properties, a council or another housing association property in one of seven west London local authorities (Brent, Ealing, Hammersmith, Harrow, Hillingdon, Hounslow and Kensington & Chelsea). The InComE project offers you independence, accommodation and employment.
You can become a qualified carpenter, hairdresser, youth worker, engineer, multi-skilled trade’s person, electrician or almost anything you are prepared to work towards. If you are 18 or over and working, studying/training or willing to start you can apply.
We will support you along the way, so that means help from college, your employer and us. We will support you further by finding you accommodation in a housing association property while you study; with affordable housing association rents for usually two years. Once you have your qualifications and employment experience we will assist you to move into full independence.
How have we done this?
SBHA and the West London Housing Partnership have come together to provide you with a supported route out of an overcrowded environment and into your own home. We will support you in finding apprenticeships and other opportunities to gain new qualifications and a career. We are working with local authorities, housing associations, colleges, training providers and employers to help you make it happen. The reward for your success will be your own flat and plenty of support while you study and complete your apprenticeship or training with an employer.
