 Intouch@sbha
The intouch@sbha role was created in 2005. It is an independent post reporting directly to the Independent Tenants' Committee (ITC).
Our intouch@sbha officer, Jane Sheehan, focuses on many projects to get tenants involved in SBHA’s operational and strategic work.
Liaising with our tenants, intouch@sbha carries out estate visits looking at services, meeting with tenants, consults on estates improvements funded from a tenant-controlled budget, supports tenant associations and tenant monitors.
Intouch@sbha checks SBHA’s service standards. With the assistance of residents, intouch@sbha also supports SBHA’s Meet the Chief Executive meetings and an annual Neighbours’ Day event.
SBHA has established forums and focus groups which the intouch@sbha officer supports and also assists in developing new forums.
Intouch@sbha works with tenants and SBHA officers so tenants are involved in all aspects of SBHA at all levels.
Intouch@sbha seeks out interested tenants and encourages them to become involved. Intouch@sbha works with them to instill confidence in their ability to engage and participate. This includes support and training in areas that will be beneficial to them.
