First Time Buyers Awards

Shepherds Bush Housing Group has been shortlisted for the First Time Buyer Best Architectural Design Award.

SBHG’s WestPoint development has been shortlisted for the above award. The development consists of two buildings; Morris House and Issigonis House. The site has historic connections to the British motor car industry as Morris House was part of the Morris Minor car parts factory. The architects retained the existing facade of the factory and incorporated it into the design of the new building.

Issigonis House (named after the designer of the Mini) sits above street level on a podium. The accommodation has been arranged to create attractive communal gardens and the apartments have full height glazing and balconies. The building is warm and sleek with a mixture of wood and aluminium cladding.

The WestPoint development is successful mix of commercial, residential and live work properties.

Members of the public can vote for the WestPoint development as the Best Architectural Design.
