Introduction
Paul Doe, chief executive
"2010/2011 was one of the most exciting in our 43 year history. As a sector we have been through change and are planning for more ahead.
However as an independent, community-led association we have continued to thrive. Our sound financial planning and knowledge of local needs and issues allowed us to be flexible and responsive.
We developed less but what we did develop was exactly tailored to addressing local needs. We scrutinised every ‘added extra’ we offer our residents but still increased provision to our most vulnerable.
We took tough decisions on how we structure our frontline services and grew our volunteering to the point it won a national award.
We piloted services which address local and national priorities. Our innovative approach to tackling issues such as overcrowding and social exclusion yielded strong results. In addition to our achievements, we also laid the foundations for coming years.
Our business plan sets out how we will become the best housing association in London by 2013 by focusing on growth, involvement, satisfaction, performance, reputation and value for money. Our annual reports reviews the year through these priorities."
