In September 2009, the Audit Commission carried out a short notice inspection of some of our services.

These inspections are a routine part of the work done on behalf of our regulator, the Tenant Services Authority, to ensure that housing associations deliver good and improving services.

The inspectors concentrated on three main service areas; repairs reported by residents, repairs of empty homes and gas servicing.

They also looked at our overall customer services, how we deliver value for money and how we ensure we provide an equal level of service to all our residents.

In February 2010, the Audit Commission produced its final report. You can download the final report by clicking here.

The Audit Commission concluded that our:

»  Strengths outweigh weaknesses in access and customer care, equality and diversity and responsive repairs.

»  Strengths and weaknesses are in balance for gas servicing and value for money.

»  Weaknesses outweigh strengths in repairs to empty homes.

It also assessed that we have promising prospects for improvement in the areas inspected.
