SBHG and the environment
Here at SBHG we acknowledge that everything we do has a potential impact on the environment. Everything from the office supplies that we buy, to the energy efficiency of our properties and the amount we recycle are opportunities for us to make a difference. Not only are they opportunities to help the environment, but in most cases they are opportunities to save money and resources as well. For example, energy efficiency programmes in the office will save us money on our power bills. We are also committed to meeting all the Legal, Regulatory and other requirements imposed on us, with regards to the environment.
Some of the programmes that we are running in 2012 include;
» Energy efficiency and fuel poverty training sessions for tenants.
» Upgrade programs to properties, targeting issues such as low efficiency boilers, loft and cavity wall insulation, water efficient taps etc.
» Implementing a new social network for tenants to share tips on energy efficiency.
» Upgrading our office servers to use approximately 80% less power.
» Training our staff in environmental sustainability.
….And much more
Below are links to our environmental management policy statements for SBHA, Staying First and Domus. If you need more information about our environmental policy or any of the programmes listed above, please contact our environment and quality manager.
