Shepherds Bush Healthy Living Centre

The Shepherds Bush Healthy Living Centre (HLC) has joined Staying Put Services (SPS), Shepherds Bush Housing Group's (SBHG) charity arm, after receiving its final lottery funding last year.

SPS helps people live safely and securely in their homes and their client-focussed approach fits with the ethos of the HLC.

There are no changes to the HLC and the merger ensures it can continue to operate effectively and efficiently, while incorporating the 20 years experience SPS has in the voluntary sector.

The HLC has been part of SBHG for four years and projects have been retained where possible, with new contracts won to secure its future.

In 2005 almost 5,600 people benefited from HLC's services, which include good nutrition programmes for local schools. Nearly a third of recipients are from local black and ethnic minorities.
