Rajgeer Court almost ready
Shepherds Bush Housing Association is quickly progressing with a
new development solely for tenants in Southall, in the London
Borough of Ealing.
The development, within walking distance of Southall rail station,
will consist of some 19 properties, which include nine two bedroom
flats, nine one bedroom apartments and a two bedroom flat
exclusively for occupation by a wheelchair user.
Built on the site of 'The Bricklayers Arms' public house, the new
building will be called Rajgeer Court, with 'rajgeer' being Punjabi
for bricklayer. The choice of name reflects the ethnic diversity of
the local community where the language is widely used by local
residents.
The scheme is scheduled to be ready for tenants before the end of
2006.
