The Future of the Healthy Living Centre

The Healthy Living Centre for Shepherds Bush is a community based health improvement initiative that tackles health inequalities in the four wards in North Hammersmith- College Park and Old Oak, White City and Shepherds Bush, Wormholt and Askew.

Complaints

We are only funded for 5 years, and have therefore been looking at what our sustainability options are. The steering group have agreed that we'll become part of an existing charity within Shepherds Bush Housing Group and contract out our services. This means we'll be able to work across the borough and beyond!

Our staff have recently qualified as Community Assessment and Action facilitators. This is a participatory process of working with the community to find out local issues and actions to address them.

Staff conducted a project within Old Oak estate to find out food and nutrition issues affecting older people.
