The Connected Partnership
Shepherds Bush Housing Group is a part of the Connected
Development Partnership.
This is a partnership of three associations who have come together
to form a development partnership that, for the years 2006 to 2008,
has received £54million of grant from the Housing
Corporation.
Members of the Partnership are SBHG, Octavia Housing & Care and
the Origin Housing Group.
The Connected Partnership is already working on developing an OJEU
framework for the tendering of consultants and contractors and is
developing its links beyond development.
Property management, housing management, personnel and PR teams are
working together across all three associations to improve
efficiencies and ensure good practice is in place.
The purpose and values of the Partnership are as follows:
- Connected to communities - we are known for our community based
initiatives and for supporting the In Business for Neighbourhoods
agenda
- Connected to residents - we value our residents' input at every
level
- Connected in development - we can provide over 1,000 quality
homes a year
- Connected in partnership - we seek to improve local services as
well as our efficiency and effectiveness as independent
organisations.
Connected exists to:
- Enable each organisation to obtain Housing Corporation capital
grant for the provision of affordable housing at a scale befitting
our individual business plan requirements
- Achieve economies of scale in development in terms of programme
management, use of consultants and contractors and the use of
modern methods of construction
- Enable efficiences to be gained in each organisation by joint
procurement, sharing of services and jointly undertaking service
development initiatives
- Support the delivery of higher quality services for our
customers through joint research and innovation, sharing best
practice and joint training.
