Day Care Centre bench
Maystar estate gains new seating
Two new benches have been installed at the Maystar estate Day
Care Centre thanks to Shepherds Bush Housing Group and Wates Living
Space Limited.
The benches will provide welcome relief for residents of the nearby
sheltered accommodation, who had been seeking some public seating
for the area. They were donated to the residents by Wates as part
of their annual 'Community Day' event, when every employee in the
company does something to help their local neighbourhood.
Hammersmith & Fulham Councillor Adronie Alford (pictured centre

welcome addition to the local facilities in this area, which is
undergoing major regeneration. I look forward to them being a well
used public facility."
Paul Doe, Shepherds Bush Chief Executive (pictured centre right)
said: "I'm happy to be involved with this kind gesture from our
partners Wates. The benches will help improve an area that is going
through radical change. Our work with Wates will bring 50 new homes
to the North Fulham area, to compliment their regeneration work on
the estate."
James Murphy (pictured far left) from Wates said: "Wates is really
proud to be part of this regeneration and providing a comfortable
place for people to sit while they enjoy the new landscape is so
important. We hope the residents enjoy using it for many years to
come!"
