Maystar Estate successfully let

Shepherds Bush Housing Association (SBHA) was chosen by residents of Cheesemans Terrace / Maystar to develop the Maystar Estate on North End Road, Fulham.

SBHA acquired the site from the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham (LBHF) on a 250 year leasehold interest. The scheme consists of the acquisition of part of the Maystar Estate which is the block of flats and retail units fronting North End Road. The existing buildings have been demolished to provide, 4 retail units and 50 affordable flats. This is the final phase of the estate regeneration undertaken by the LBHF.

The scheme consists of 24, one and two bed homes for shared ownership, and 26, two bed homes for affordable rent. There are 4 commercial spaces on the ground floor. The shared ownership homes are being sold in accordance with the affordability criteria as specified in the Agreement to Lease.

The flats will be sold as a first priority to existing tenants of the council and SBHA, while the second priority will be key workers. The initial equity sale will be between 25% and 55% of the property with values estimated at c£260,000 for a one bed apartment and c£351,000 for a two bed apartment.
